5/14: Changing into the afternoon.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 5/14: We are seeing some moisture invading our dry slot early that will offer clouds and potentially a quick shower along the divide early but then we are back into the dry conditions through midday. After noon we will start to see some clouds building into the afternoon with dry windy cells building with peak heating turning wet into this evening and continuing overnight. Lows should stay too mild for snow down low but the potential is there.
Temperatures: Lows were mild overnight at 29 for CB and 33 for Gunni. Highs will reach 50 for CB and 65 for Gunni. Lows tonight will be at or above freezing with the clouds.
Outlook: The lingering variable in the forecast is the interaction between a northwestern trough and the surge of milder southern air moving in Wednesday. This will produce a mix through Wednesday of pockets of sun but also showers that will be hard to predict. The sun is back to start Thursday and we may see isolated convective showers in the afternoon but with nothing impressive. Beyond that a drier and milder trend takes us into the weekend with beautiful conditions on tap.
