Current, former eastern Ky. inmates caught in scheme to smuggle drugs into jail, sheriff says
The Lee and Estill County sheriffs say they stopped a scheme planned by former and current inmates to smuggle meth into the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville by planting the drugs along handrails so inmates could grab them on their way into court Thursday.
